Choose the password and finish .
Sync ADDS to the Enterprise Admins group in the hexelo.com domain.
- In Active Directory Users and Computers, in Users, double-click Sync ADDS.
- In the Sync User Properties dialog, select the Member Of tab.
- Select Add.
- In the Select Groups dialog, in Enter the object names to select, enter Enterprise Admins, and then select Check Names-Enterprise Admins should be displayed and underlined.
- Select OK.
- Select OK again to close the Sync ADDS Properties window.
Open the new browser.
portal.azure.com --> login with username and password.
In Entra ID
Create a new user in Microsoft Entra ID by using the values in the following table. For any property that is not specified, use the default value.

- On the directory tenant blade, in the resource menu on the left, in Manage, select Users.
- On the Users blade, on the command bar, select + New user, and then select Create new user.
- On the Create new user blade, in Identity, in User principal Name, enter Sync.EntraID.
- In Display Name, enter Sync EntraID.
- In Password, clear the Auto-generate password checkbox, and then in Password, enter InitialPwd!-6256170.
- Select Next: Properties.
- On the Properties page, in Identity, in First name, enter Sync, and then in Last name, enter EntraID.
- In Settings, in Usage location, enter United States.
- Select Next: Assignments.
- On the Assignments page, select + Add role.
- On the Directory roles blade, in Search, enter Global, select the Global administrator checkbox, and then select Select.
- On the Create new user blade, select Review + create, and then select Create.
Configure synchronization of the TestSync OU only from hexelo.com Active Directory to hexelo40900762x3.onmicrosoft.com Microsoft Entra ID by using Microsoft Entra Connect and the values in the following table:

- In the Azure portal, in Microsoft Entra ID, verify that the Job title and Department fields for ADUser1 are blank.

- On the Users blade, in the list of users, select ADUser1.
- On the ADUser1 blade, select the Properties tab.
- Confirm that Job title and Department are blank.

Close the ADUser1 properties blade. Leave Microsoft Edge open to the Users blade.
- By using Active Directory Users and Computers, set the ADUser1 Job Title property to Manager and the Department property to Sales.

- Switch to Active Directory Users and Computers.
- In hexelo.com | Corp, select TestSync.
- Double-click ADUser1.
- In the ADUser1 Properties window, select the Organization tab.
- In Job Title, enter Manager.
- In Department, enter Sales, and then select OK to close the ADUser1 Properties page.
Close Active Directory Users and Computers and then minimize all windows to expose the desktop.
- Run Microsoft Entra Connect Sync and perform a Refresh directory schema, signing in as sync.EntraID@hexelo40900762x3.onmicrosoft.com using NewPwd!-6256170 as the password.

- On the Windows desktop, double-click Azure AD Connect.
- On the Welcome to Entra Connect page, select Configure.
- Select Refresh directory schema, and then select Next.
- On the Connect to Entra page, in USERNAME, ensure that sync.EntraID@hexelo40900762x3.onmicrosoft.com is entered, and then select Next.
- In the Sign in to your account dialog, in Pick an account, select sync.EntraID@hexelo40900762x3.onmicrosoft.com.
- In PASSWORD, enter NewPwd!-6256170, and then select Sign in.
- On the Refresh Directory Schema page, select Next.
- On the Ready to configure page, confirm that the Start the synchronization process when configuration completes checkbox is selected, and then select Configure-it may take a few minutes for the process to complete.
- Select Exit.
Note that the Windows Desktop shortcut may still display the old name Azure AD Connect. The new name is Microsoft Entra Connect.
You refreshed the directory schema to force Microsoft Entra Connect to sync with Microsoft Entra ID.
